Information: We are currently looking for actors for all of our roles. Our filming schedule is currently open and will we determined after we have finished casting. It will be based around our actor's schedules. 

Plot: The Way Things Are starts out as one of those cliche teen flicks but quickly takes a turn for the best as the many brilliant characters uncover the truth about themselves and face their fears. Queen Bee Roonie Howard gets more than a crown on the night of her Junior prom. After skipping out early for a concert, Roonie and her friends get into a car accident where everyone suffers minor injuries... All except for Roonie. Now she has to work with Landon, her complete opposite, to uncover the secrets in her life that are holding her back. What she finds out rock her entire existence, but possibly in a good way.

Roles:

Roonie Howard - Female 15-17 y/o. Lead. Little miss perfect, the queen bee. Roonie seems like a self absorbed brat to most, but she acts like that to hide her many insecurities with herself. She's very witty and sarcastic, and she rarely lets anyone see her fragile side.

Landon Coviello - Male 15-17 y/o. Lead. Thoughtful, almost like a poet. He's not good with channeling his emotions and can be rude and irrational. He's not very good with people, but he has a very good heart. It is evident that he is hurting. Landon deals with depression and self harm.

Olivia Clarey - Female 15-17 y/o. Roonie's bestfriend. Ditzy and over the top, Olivia is very outgoing but  constantly lost in her best friend's shadow. She has a secret that she's keeping from Roonie, one that she's terrified to let out.

Nora -  Female 15-17 y/o. Known as "The Goth Chick", Nora isn't your norm for highschool girls. She's edgy and dark. Oh, and she's psychic, not that she lets anyone from school know. Along with being psychic, Nora has powerful abilities that are taken for granted. She acts bitter and cold because that's what people assume from first glance. Inside she has a beautiful heart and will do anything for the greater good.

Spencer - Male 15-17 y/o. Mr Handsome, slightly slow, can come off as a jerk without meaning to. Spencer is Roonie's jock boyfriend, the most popular guy in school. They've been friends since they were infants, so it was only natural that they start dating in the 8th grade, right? The only problem is, there isn't any chemistry. Spencer is in love, but with Marcus.

Marcus - Male 15-17 y/o. Spencer's secret boyfriend. Friendly, openly gay guy. He's nice and worries about everyone's feelings.

Cindy Howard - Female 40-55 y/o. Roonie's mother.

Jack Howard - Male 40-55 y/o. Roonie's father.

Cadence Howard - Male 7-12 y/o. Roonie's little brother who she adores. He's sweet and positive and tries to see the good in people.

Mr. Coviello - Male 40-55 y/o Landon's father.

Mrs. Coviello - Female 40-55 y/o Landon's mother.
