Phones and their charging cables are lovers. They spend their nights together, and some parts of the day too, when the phone has really been put through its paces. The charger is there to give it life again.
There is a ghost story whispered (in bits and bytes) to the little chipsets, before they're fully grown into phones - that of the Wire Cutter.
It is said that one day, a Wire Cutter shall come along, clipping the life of the charging cable. That is the day the phone either dies alongside its beloved, or is forced to take on a new lover, a lover it must share with another phone, never to call another charger wholly it's own.
