Empowering Ethiopian Girls Through #Code

Training for Tomorrow focuses on life skills and impacts girls ages 9-17 in Ethiopia, with the aim of helping to break their poverty cycle. Give $50 and receive a hand strung friendship bracelet crafted by young women in Addis Ababa, made with black yarn and melted artillery trade beads. Give $100 and receive a 1/2 lb of Fair Trade organic coffee direct from Ethiopian farmers through our friends at Buunni Coffee, packaged in a raw cotton drawstring bag hand signed by Studio Samuel Advisor, Julian Lennon.‪

Additionally, there are very special items available in return for your donation. Thanks to collaboration between award-winning fine art photographer John Delaney and philanthropist, photographer and musician Julian Lennon, we have a one of a kind Portrait of a Girl and additional prints. Portrait of a Girl ($2,500) is an original John Delaney photograph of one of the girls in our Training for Tomorrow program, mounted on a raw paper and burlap background and trimmed with sourced melted artillery beads. Julian Lennon, founder of The White Feather Foundation and Studio Samuel Advisor, personally wrote a line of lyrics from his heartwarming song "Invisible” on the left side, mirrored by the same message—“Know that love surrounds you. It’s Invisible”— written in Amharic on the opposite side of this 31”x38” work of art. For your $1,000 donation, you have a choice among five 11”x14” prints of John’s portraits.
