Well that doesn’t give them an amazingly tragic past to account for their current issues. Lord knows most of us don’t have enough issues that come from having parents in our lives!

But seriously the trending story is basically "Super sweet child would never do anything to hurt people. Super sweet child grows up and suddenly has a super powerful and deadly ability that kills their family. Super sweet child now angsts over everything and yet they are still super sweet.

Can I bring up how my favorite character I ever played had an extremely healthy relationship with her family and friends and went to New York City to try something new and simply came back to Ireland when it became too much for her? There was no angst about her past at all and everyone in the roleplay still loved her.
