Awk-Ward | Fitz and Ward
He sent the text to Ward earlier this morning, and all Leo could do was wait. He was sure that Simmons was having an easier time getting Skye to come and get measured. Simmons could have measured Ward as well, but Leo was the one that had more experience (embarrassingly) with a sewing machine when the material came in, and he would never hear the end of it if the measurements were wrong for Ward. It would certainly ensue hilarity of course, but still— some things were just better off done correctly (and better not to waste material).
To waste time while waiting he had covered a small plastic rubber red ball with some of the Flubber goo Simmons had, just a tiny bit because he didn't want to break anything. He was doing calculations in his head, trying to guess the trajectory of the ball as he threw it one way, to see where it would bounce to. Of course, it kept bouncing but Leo's hand-eye coordination was excellent and he could catch the ball in mid arc as it bounced wildly across the room, harmlessly bouncing off of cabinets, walls, and glass doors.
After several successful correct calculations of his, Leo got a little bit carried away with his throwing, the excitement building up in him. The ball bounced erratically from the hard throw, each time it hit a surface, it rocketed faster through the air, him barely managing to duck the flying ball and grimacing. Okay, not a good idea. It knocked over something, causing it to crash loudly on the floor, but it did not stop the ball. Wasn't this eerily similar to the movie?
It was then that the door swung open, and it seemed like the ball had a mind of its own, hitting the wall and aiming straight for the open door. If that ball got out into the hall, Leo didn't even want to think that. "Watch out!" He said quickly.
