Once again a hand came down over his alarm clock, smashing into the snooze button before dropping down to his side limply. He’d been hitting it for over an hour now and was a bit surprised that the twins were still sound asleep, but glad. He wasn’t ready to lose his dream yet. Most mornings were like this lately. The thing he wanted most was only available in dreams—was always present in his dreams—so he did his best to keep dreaming for as long as he could, dragging out those moments of peace and joy until he was no longer able. Finally, he noticed the time on the clock and groaned, using his thumb to switch off the alarm. Bare feet padded along the dark wood flooring that flowed from his bedroom to his bathroom, making barely a sound as he strolled lazily over toward the sink, groaning when he spotted his reflection in the mirror. Well, at least my face looks a bit better than last night. He thought as his eyes took in his reflection, nose wrinkling at the bridge in an almost cute fashion as he stepped closer, only to stop and sigh faintly as he caught a glimpse of his abdomen. His waist was thinner than normal and his muscles were a bit more built up than he liked them. I really need to go back to meditating to relax myself and stop running my stress away… And eat more.Whenever his anxiety or stress was high, it tended to affect his body, most often leading to strong nausea. Before going on stage when he was new to the industry it wasn’t uncommon for him to have to excuse himself to vomit. He slowly got over his initial anxiety when it came to performing and no longer had that problem, thankfully, but it still showed up in his daily life for other reasons. Both of his well-manicured hands came up and began to pat his cheeks firmly, doing so for a moment before he spoke. “Pull yourself together, you can’t go wasting away or fainting, you’ve got to take care of the girls.” That was all of the reminder that he needed. Now, to find something halfway edible… Nothing was appealing, but he would go downstairs and he would force himself to shove something down anyway, because that’s what he needed to do.
