Erin clenched her eyes shut as she heard the sound of boots get nearer and nearer. The squeak of the leather getting louder and louder. For a moment she thought it was the intruder, coming back to finish what they started. At this point, the shifter wouldn’t mind it… being put out of misery.
Teal orbs looked up, upon hearing a familiar voice. Her senses were slightly distorted, and as soon as her eyes adjusted she realized it was her brother. She wiped the red and tears off her cheek. “Misa-” She cut herself off, the brunette hadn’t realized how much it hurt to speak.
Erin’s titan powers weren’t working… They were supposed to work on an inflicted injury but for some reason it didn’t. Perhaps it wasn’t a goal enough to not get hurt? For whatever reason, she felt bad Misaka had to take care of her, like she was still a two-year-old. The thing was, she felt like one. Helpless, and defenseless.
The girl sat on the wooden planked floor just as her brother instructed, obeying right away. She kept a soft face, gazing in to the ground as her limp arm was treated. She didn’t dare meet his orbs until he was finished. The teal-eyed girl allowed herself meet eyes with the charcoal-colored ones.
She couldn’t hold all inside anymore, the corner of her eyelids began to well up and that’s when she burst into tears. She attacked her brother with a hug, burrying her face in his scarf, wrapping her arms around tightly as if she were to let go he’s disappear into the midst. The only audible sound from outside her bedroom door was the sobbing of Erin.
