Favourite fictional characters: The list is immense, but near the top are Shudder & Finbar from SP and Mayor Prentiss from Chaos walking - the latter just because of how much I despised the man, but at the same time he did kinda just get his shit together with maximum efficiency and effectiveness. The first 2 are just badass and a right laugh.

Favourite book: oooh boy uhh atm probably Last Stand of Dead Men, which is just great.

Favourite band: Calle 13? maybe? like, i don’t really listen to bands, i just take songs i like from anywhere

Last Movie: Kimi No Na Wa, (watch it it’s fucking great)

Dream trip: World trip just travelling in a car with some friends - Japan, Angel Falls, The end of the world in the very South of South America, Antarctica, India, Ecuador are the main places but everywhere honestly

Dream job: nothing - I’m not a huge fan of working tbh - just kinda want to have enough money to be able to travel for the rest of my life, (see previous question)

I've considered doing a book blog, about a zillion times over, but for some reason I've never quite managed to get one off the ground. I'm thinking of adding a section to my writing site, though, and just treating it like a sub-blog. I'm almost twenty-five books into my Goodreads challenge; I almost feel like I'm doing myself a disservice by *not* blogging, at this point.

Thanks. :) It was easier to just start from scratch, so I wrote down all the dialogue--no tags or description or anything. And I'll get up early to flesh out the scene in the morning.

that is the absolute worst! was it scrivener, or write or die?

It was Write or Die, and it really was a stupid move on my part. I was using the web version and I paused it because I had to run downstairs. When I came back, I forgot to hit pause before I clicked the screen and hit backspace--and the browser took me out of the page. When I went forward again, the words were gone.

Imagine there's a sort of magic that could conjure your ideal book, one that doesn't exist yet. What would it be about?

Oh wow, this is a really good question.

It would be fantasy. A really rich, deep fantasy in a brick-sized volume, with a female protagonist and female friendships and female more-than-friendships. And male more-than-friendships. And characters of color--elves and dwarves and humans. And moral murkiness. And a setting that is not a thinly-veiled medieval Europe. And a really good system of magic, and a sense of history.

And centaurs. Centaurs are cool.
