Best friends || closed
It’s been at least 5 years since Christina had last seen her best friend, Hayden. Her father and mother both had taken her home after their vacation at their lake house, telling her she had to stay away from Hayden. She remembered her crying, holding onto Hayden tightly like she was going to die. Hayden’s face was all confused, not knowing that that was her last goodbye.
Today, today was the day she would be going back to the lake house in over 5 years. Christina knew Hayden wouldn’t recognize her or even talk to her for leaving him that long. She just couldn’t imagine his face every day and night, looking to where she had gone.
As her and her parents arrived at the lake house, she got out looking around at the old wooden homes. Grabbing her bags, she walked into the house, going up to her room and setting them down before she saw Hayden. Looking right back at her.
