They hadn't spoken at all, actually, yet Padma Patil found she liked him. (Not in the way Parvati liked guys, oh heavens no, let's not go there!) Perhaps--perhaps they could be friends. Some people had advised her against it, but still.

There was something about him that subtly drew her attention away from her trusty books.

(Or perhaps Padma needed more friends, that, too, was a possiblity.)
