People keep saying that Heated Rivalry is historical fiction (which it is) by pointing out to the Blackberries, shoutout to early Youtube, wired headphones but, I haven't seen anybody talking about the fashion.
So, as a millenial fashion girly I just want to give a round of applause to the costume department because, they ATE.
First of all, the low cut tank tops:
these got soOoOo popular with the release of "Party Rock Anthem" and "Sexy and I know it" thanks to LMFAO and everyone started wearing them at the gym circa 2011-2012
These fuck ass glasses that got so popular in like 2013-2014, you now with the enamel on top and the gold rim at the bottom, you don't see them anymore but they where EVERYWHERE in like 2015 ish
Shane wearing skinny jeans in 2016 and Ilya wearing joggers because joggers started to get super popular in like 2014-2015 as well as the Adidas slidders that became part of the fashion world at that time
Then, Shane and Ilya wearing button down shirt open low, that is so 2014
Svetlana wearing sequins and high heals to the club as well as Rose, these outfits are soooooooo Charlotte Russe I cannot even
Shane and Miles wearing business casual to the #clurb (blazers and bottle service)
Speaking of business casual, saw a comment clowning on Shane for wearing hoodie with blazer, but, as a Certified MillenialTM, I used to rock hoodie with blazer all the time
Then, Shane rockin' the "Had to do it to them" which is so aggressively 2014
The outfit and hairdo of "hot-girl-at-club-to-make-shane-jealous" and Ilya's outfit is so 2016 club culture
Finally, Ilya's pants are so 2010 in this scene
Shout out to the costume department because they did such a good job, like I am teletransported back to 2016 especially with the club scene, because, it was like that!!!
