Today on being me 20% himbo
I just got off of work. Super tired. I work with kids and I am teaching them origami, wire craft, painting, sketching and sculpting.
I was on the way to my brother's room when they just happened to open the door before I could knock.
I asked them if they were busy, they said that they weren't feeling well.
I asked kinda shyly if they were still identifying as trans. I saw their expression completely change and I realized how bad that sounded and asked "The colors of the flag are pink, white and blue right?"
They tentatively said yes as I brought my cupped hands out and gave them
Origami jumping frogs for their colors.
The look of relief and laughter after that was what I was going for. I didn't want them to think that it was going to be negative or they lost my support. I love my brother and think they are amazing.
Make sure that you choose your words wisely, don't dead name, respect pronouns, and for the love of all even if you make something for someone... Try to do a better delivery on it.
