With how often Etho mutes himself and forgets to unmute I headcanon that Etho is a quiet person on accident. He spent his early years alone and often speaks to himself in his head so when he’s with other people he forgets that he needs to say things out loud to communicate.
While he might not talk a lot, he does tend to make more little "hm" sounds than the average person! Wearing a mask for that long, those noises have become equivalent to facial expressions. They help let other people know what he's thinking in the same way reading someone else's face does. Plus, they're a good substitute for words when he just gets tired from having to put his thoughts out to others all the time.

ok so I installed xkit renewed (have been using New xkit since the original died) and it has so many cool extra options :o I love the one that enables an option to show only original posts on your dash! Super helpful if you like to follow artists and writers<3
