He sighed tiredly and rubbed the space between his eyes.
"Believe what you want, sweets." Vincent took his hands down and tried not to show the fireworks of emotions going off in him. Some were overjoyed, others were annoyed, still others were angry, and a select few were sad and disillusioned.
The man forced himself to stare into Bon’s green eyes.
Strange.
Sometimes, Vincent privately wondered why the animatronic had such a strange devotion for the children. They were just so annoying! Those kids got into anything and everything. Decidedly nothing he wanted to endure.
Vincent figured the two were more neutral now, so he decided to broach the subject, “Why are you so loyal to them? The children, I mean.”
🎶 —— Finally trying to relax (as hard as it was), the animatronic moved his arms down, holding them nervously by his sides. By no means did he really care for this man, considering all that had happened, but hate was something that was programmed out of his system completely. So, he supposed he couldn't exactly hate the other either.
There just had to be something that could be done so he wouldn't be a threat to the children again. Maybe it would take a lot of researching, but, something.
He shrank back slightly upon the eye contact, long lashes blinking. On some level, it made him uncomfortable, and yet there was something that told him it wasn't so bad, it needed to be done.
"Huh...?" He shook his head away from the gaze, flicking one ear down slightly. To his mind, it was almost unthinkable that someone wouldn't like children... especially to the extreme that... "It's not just loyalty, it's ---- more than that. I love them so much. It's... it's hard to explain..." Of course it was; hard-wired into his programming, he couldn't quite grasp exactly why. "They're so... so little and sweet and full of love and life and I... I have to protect them... I have to..."
