On This Day In History 25 May 1846 . Princess Helena of the United Kingdom was born. . ◼ She was the third daughter & fifth child of the reigning British monarch, Queen Victoria, & her husband Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg & Gotha. . . ◼ Helena had a firm interest in nursing, & became President of the British Nurses' Association (RBNA) upon its foundation in 1887.
