Tuesday, i went to the beach! It was fun ill post pics. It was kinda cold in the afternoon but it warmed up at night. We bonfired and had a mini beach bbq :P We ate tacooossssss. Im really not in the mood for blogging today lol.... It was really fun though! Maybe ill talk a little bit more in the photo post after this.

Wednesday, I went to go each lunch with mickey and we went to watch hang over 3. Lunch was good went to red robin. The hang over was alriiigghhhhtttttt, but it was a good note to end the trilogy on. After that i went to get sipatea with doug. Sipatea was alright but a bit overrated xp. After that me and doug went to hang out with my friend everett. We played Wii U and now i really want one lol xD.

BD365#56(Fanime Final Day)

OK so after meeting the cute guy that last day...

i went to sleep right after my shift i went to sleep... lol that was about it then i went to check out of the hotel and what not with ken. After all that i helped prepare for the closing ceremonies with ken xp I walked around a lot trying to help... I dont feel like talking to much about it though cause im lazy.

All in all fanime this yr was a great experience. I learned to take charge of situations this year even though I wanted verification for eveyrthing i did. After that i drove with ken home to make sure he was ok (he was tired). He tried on some of his professional clothes cause his mom made him haha xD. It was fun!

After my friend chris picked me up and we dropped off another friend, we went to eat in and out and catch up. He filled me in on alot of shit. After i ate he took me to my cousins house. I met up with them and we chilled for a bit and then i went to sleep haha.

BD365#55(Fanime Pt.3)

OK! Lets really try and condense the last 2 days of con quickly!

Ok so i woke up sunday and i was just walking around as usual. Checking up on things and what not. When i woke up that morning one of my dearest friends mickey (who just finish his enlistment from the marines) texts and says that hes at con and if i wanted to hang out. I went to dealers room with him and walked with him and his friends. Mickey is so damn adorable ughs :< He bought some one piece model kits and stuff. Im surprised he didn't get any gundams this time.

We walk out of con and grabbed a hot dog to eat. We sat outside and chilled for a while then we went to registration to meet up with kevin @eastazure! We also met up with my close friend annabella who works registration. It was really nice seeing both mickey and bella again. I always enjoy their company. It was also awesome meeting kevin for the first time.

We then walk back into dealers hall and go around and look for gifts and what not. I ended up getting a  LoZ shirt for my friend tony @ynotastonysh and a happy pillow pet (from fairytail) and a few celestial keys. Mickey and his friends headed out and then me and kevin met up with doug. Me and doug finally got to hang out this time too. We all went to eat at Cafe Stritch in downtown sj. It was pretty good and then we chilled in the hotel room for a bit.

Then we went to the stress that was managing the film room for 2 more lines. I had to put a 3rd special showing of ace attorney to make up for the people that couldnt get in the first 2 showings. It was cool though doug and kevin hung out while i was taking care of shit.

After that i took charge of hentai and yaoi night line by parking people in places i wanted them to be and then making sure they did exactly as i wanted them to do. It worked out way better than the day before. After that i had to staff my room and i was dead tired... My friend david came to help cheer me up... it was fun. I met this cute guy and his gf and their friend... But he was cute and he sounded so happy about everything he talked about. That was the most attractive thing haha. Yeah i like happy people although im a bit of a downer at times xp.

Well... this took longer than i thought =x i guess ill do the last fanime blog tomorrow!

BD354#54(Fanime Pt.2 Saturday)

I don't understand how friday was so vivid in my head because to be honest the rest of the con kinda blurred together after a while....

Saturday morning me and ken went to dennys at like 7h30am and then we checked into the hotel at around 8h30am. We dropped off our stuff and then went to the film room. I had a morning shift from like 9h-1h. I was getting numerous questions about our showing for ace attorney and rurouni kenshin live actions. I had gotten off my shift and walked around for a bit seeing my friends. I checked on the film room occasionally just in case.

One of the times I came back i had realized the room was PACKED for ace attorney. This was the first time ive seen a full house for a film room in asian films. I started to worry about rurouni kenshin because a larger volume of people had asked about it and said they were going to show up. They also asked if we were going to be forming a line. I had to tell them i wasn't sure of the volume of people we had so i told them to check back later after we had decided.

I talked it over with ken (who is second) and he said if i wanted to i could start forming a line, and i did. I wasn't sure of how to do line control at all. I had asked a rover earlier what we should do if we did indeed start forming a line. She told me to give her a call or text personally so she would send someone over to help us personally. BUT! to our good fortune ken knew exactly how to do it and the line went smoothly.

Nearing closer to the showing of the movie we got into a little panic. Ken was't sure if the film was on our computer! We had to frantically call people and run up and down the hall looking for people. We had been told that the file was on a specific computer in another film room. We then had to frantically wait look for a USB to transfer things on but in the end we didnt need it.

We in the end decided to completely swap our film rooms because we had notice how far back the line wrapped around our hall. (we were really lucky that the time slots for our room and the room we swapped with fit well enough that we could borrow the bigger room) The film room we commandeered for the movie could fit 4 times as many people as our original room. We nearly packed the entire room! It was amazing haha!

Later on that evening, i also staffed hentai/yaoi night. That was a mess of a line though! Asian films tradition is that we all like to help out with staffing with hentai night because they need the help! I kinda just stood around directing traffic and checking id and badges. It was very very very stressful though. But in the end we managed to pull through. I was happy i had that mini line control crash course for kenshin though! 

After dwindling the line down we all headed back to the hotel room for some much needed rest!

ALSOOOO BEFORE I FORGET!!!! Saturday is the day i met doug! @agoldus. He came during the time when i was forming the line for rurouni kenshin. I didn't have a WHOLE bunch of time to hang out with him though =\ I was running around with my head cut off for most of that time he was there. But its all good because he found out a lot of his friends went to fanime and he was able to hang out with them in my lieu!

BD365#53(Lets blog about Fanime Pt.1)

If you guys are wondering what fanime is, it is an anime convention in san jose, ca during every memorial day weekend. (If you couldn't tell by now, i'm an absolute anime nut.) This was my 3rd yr staffing for Asian Films Room and boy was this entire con a huge learning experience.

It started thursday evening while I was still home cleaning and packing. I decided NOT to go to sleep and finished everything last minute. It was the biggest mistake. I had to leave the house my 5h30am to make a 8h20 flight. I landed in sj around 10h20am friday and my "basically childhood friend," ken, (since middle school) picked me. We talked a little bit as we drove down to the convention center and boy was i starting to feel tired.

I got a glimpse of con and had been informed that the line for pre-reg last night/this morning lasted until 3h00am. That didn't seem to phase me because i had just picked up my staff badge and that took only about 2 minutes. Ken and I went to our film room and i took a glance at our work schedules and movie schedules. The 3 that stuck out to me were: Ruroni Kenshin, Ace Attorney, and Gokaiger. 2 of which would be the bane of my convention.

My good friend everett met up with me and we talked for a while (Everett  also staffs but for dance). We talked for a bit and then more of my asian film room family. It was great seeing them all. I met a asian films new recruit (well atleast to me since i skipped a  yr). He was cool and i warmed up to him quick just like everyone else. I love being treated like the baby of the room though :D even though im more so in the middle haha.

Around noonish everett and i went to go browse artist alley because we saw the line at dealer's hall... and i literally just say no and we walked away. The artist alley wasn't actually in the convention center this year it was located in the south hall which is a large blue tent outside of the convention center. My back REALLY started to hurt then (it was because of my lack of sleep and all the standing and walking). We got some kitty prints from tangerine-kittens. They were pretty awesomely cute haha.

After i went out to dinner with half of asian films department. We went to this thai place in downtown sj. It was alright. Then we went back to the room and chilled for a bit. Later that night around maybe 9h-10h pm my friend noticed her laptop was missing =[ and we reported it stolen after a thorough search. At that point me and ken were done with the day and decided to go to his house because we wouldn't be able to check into our staffroom till tomorrow morning.

I'd say the stolen laptop was the worst news of the con, but we all managed to push on and i learned alot of things that i'll tell you guys tomorrow! :D

BD365#52 (Finally back from vacation)

I had a pretty long hiatus from the internet while i was on vacation, but it was really amazing to get away for a while though. It was really jam packed and I just decided to take a break and jump back on my 365 challenges. I pretty much slept all day to kind of recuperate. I SHOULD'VE done laundry... but i didn't. I get back to work tomorrow. Also, tomorrow i'll be blogging about memories from my vacation! Topic for tomorrow is fanime!
