                                        Fred knew about her past, maybe not every detail; b-                                         ut enough to  understand why  sometimes when  she                                         woke up suddenly she got like this. He’d been carry-                                         ing her through the woods  because of it being day ti-                                         me,  they were trying to make it to Flordia.  He didn’t                                         really have much of a want for it himself, but he wan-                                         ted to bring Bree to the Disney Park’s. With all that s-                                         he’d been through he figured she could use some fun,                                         and the parks were  open during dark  at some points                                         as far as he knew.

Fred pulled away with a small smile of his own,  hon- estly, he didn’t need any thanks. In his opinion, the s- mile Bree gave him at the gesture was more than en- ough.  The smile Bree gave  him was half  the reason his did anything for her, and would even if he never g- ot a thank you for it---though she always did give one.

“Well it’s the truth,  and it’s not great that either of us has to go through t- his whole vampire thing. But I’m glad that we are because who knows if we would have crossed paths if not.”

                                        And he meant it; he wasn’t ecstatic about not being                                         able to see his family again or having to put his sc-                                         hooling on hold until he could figure out how to ble-                                         nd in better.  But at least  he wasn’t as  alone as he                                         had always been.

As much as Fred had always enjoyed the security that came with being a loner, the assurance that he wasn’t going to get pulled into some crazy situation by a friend or having to worry that he might drive someone away? Something about Bree had drawn him to her since Riley first brought her to that basement, maybe it was the fact that she was one of the only ones who’d bothered to be smart about their situation, doing what she could in  order to stay unnoticed by the more out of control newborns.

“Bree, I wanted to talk to you about something.”

He hadn’t said anything before simply because of the fact that their dynamic  had been comfortable, and then she was she had been with Diego; she’d liked him enough that he’d let it be. He’d been willing to deal with it if it meant that he could travel with them both if  meant he could  make sure that  she was safe. Then he had thought she died and somehow managed to find her again,  he wasn’t going to let another chance pass by.

“I like you,  really like you. I didn’t say something before because..well in the middle of crazy vampires who loved to kill didn’t really seem the right time to tell  someone  you had  feelings for them, and then I didn’t want to come between–”

He wasn’t really all to sure that actually mentioning her dead boyfriend by name would be the best idea.

Fred had been stalking after a deer; he didn’t often eat animal’s,  but the lack of prison’s in the area meant that his usual feeding source wasn’t an option. That’s what  happened  when you  travelled  through the middle of nowhere though he supposed. He hadn’t been expecting the  smaller vampire to jump out from practically nowhere at him, though, and so he startedfor a moment before realizing it was just Bree; when he did he let his arms wrap around her and turned so that he landed on his feet  before setting the other down and looking at her with a hint of a smile on his face.

“Don’t you know better than to sneak up on a hunting vampire?”

Fred didn’t hug her  back right away,  hesitating for a beat before he finally brought his arms up to wrap a- round the smaller girl. He’d heard of her death,  Jas- per had apparently informed Peter and Charlotte ab- out the battle with the new born army, and so when t- hey heard they had managed  to get word to him of t- he army’s demise---including that of a small vampi- re that the Cullen’s had attempted to spare.

                                        “I thought you had died, I ran into s-                                         ome nomad’s who  were from an old                                         new born  army that  helped me  get                                         used to---they’re friends with one of                                         the yellow eyes coven members; the                                         Cullens.  They said  everyone  in  the                                         army had died, been killed in the ba-                                         ttle.”

Carlisle could read the feared newborn. She was made and forced to be in a coven she didn’t ask to be in. In fact, Immortality was given to her to fight against peace. Despite how she ended up. Either destroyed to sheds or left alive. However, Her creator including The Volturi, and Cullens knew how it would all end. But, Carlisle felt for this young newborn. He knew he had to help her.
