In the appearance options, there’s a box for your URL, just put your url only & it should work! ^^; Hope this helps!

New Rule: Ad.fly
After some thought and discussion, we have decided to implement a new rule, effective immediately.
Themes and submissions will not be reblogged if adf.ly (or a similar advertising/URL shortening site) is used for the live preview or pops up on every link on the theme maker's blog. We will continue reblogging themes that use ad.fly as long as it's only the direct link to the codes. If a theme maker's blog uses adf.ly on every single one of their links, littered all over their blog, they will either be taken off the theme maker's list.
We understand theme makers are offering their themes for free but at the same time, forcing people to click on ad.fly links just to view your live previews or just to get to your theme blog is taking advantage of your users and honestly, it's annoying as hell.
So why are we still reblogging adf.ly when used as a direct link to the codes? Because at least the user has had a chance to look at the live preview and theme information. If from there, they decided they like the theme enough to click the adf.ly link, that's their choice.
TL;DR If your theme/submission uses adf.ly links on anything other than the direct link to the codes, then sorry, we won't be reblogging it.
Technically most of the themes on here are not in cases legal by the terms and conditions of Tumblr. They have to post into the Theme Garden, which they haven't done. Yes, there is the important issue of stealing but we also should get theme makers into the situation of publishing their work.
I'm not sure how long you've been around tumblr but last year there was a whole debate with the Theme Garden, including tumblr trying to threaten people into not using 3rd parties to share code. And there is a specific reason why theme users of free themes are against the Theme Garden. Yes, you will be able to mount a better case against someone stealing your themes but at the same time you lose alot of control over your own work. Only recently has Theme Garden added a delete feature - before if you wanted to remove your themes, tumblr wouldn't allow it because it was seen as their property. In addition to that if you upload a theme to the Theme Garden, themes that tumblr deem "unattractive" are never allowed to be updated with newer codes. Or if they do, it take many, many weeks to months. Also, tumblr has a sort of set page design, you have to resize and edit screencaps according to their dimensions and gifs are not allowed. I'm sure you noticed a huge number of people use gifs to show off their work. Also maybe I'm reading this wrongly but to me it sounds like you're saying "theme makers are not doing enough to protect their work so that's why it gets stolen". I mean, why do theme makers who already make the themes have to go the extra step, do the extra work so people can't steal their work? We are not here to police anyone or anything but whether themes are protected by tumblr or not, stealing should still be something that is frowned upon. But overall, theme makers tend to be wary with the Theme Garden because every single thing you do/edit is like having your hands tied because you need to wait for someone to approve it. However I do suggest people who want more protection from tumblr to try the Theme Garden. Though with their crappy customer service, even if you did report they would probably just go, "Oh, well."
PSA - "INVALID HTML" MESSAGE
If you are receiving this message please don't freak out there are a number of reasons (such as external scripts, mp3 scripts, tumblr itself, and lastly the theme code) for this so take the following steps to make sure it is NOT your theme.
Wait. Sometimes for a brief moment it will flash Invalid HTML but then it will return to normal.
Save anyways, refresh the page. Sometimes tumblr just glitches out and needs to "catch up". THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD ALWAYS USE A TEST BLOG FIRST.
Try seeing if it is something in your description or MP3 player. Tumblr can get testy when it comes to external scripts, so remove those paste it somewhere to save, save the theme without a description and see if it removes it.
Sometimes if the DOCTYPE at the top is something else other than <!DOCTYPE html> tumblr can freak out. So check your theme to see if it is and maybe talk to the theme maker to see if they then still have the same problem as you.
Lastly sometimes it involves cookies/cache, so if you know how clear those out log out of tumblr, log back in and refresh the customize theme page to see if it works.

95% of the time it is just tumblr. Many times if you just simply refresh or save and restart your browser it returns to normal. Again with installing themes, the new customize page can be rather misleading so always always use a test blog just so if something does mess up, it won't effect your actual blog.
I edited a them on a sideblog to exactly how I wanted it on a page of my main blog but when I put it into the "custom Html" box it made the page blank. Have you ever come across this issue?
Make sure to test it on a test blog, because sometimes with custom appearance options it does that and you need to save and refresh for everything to normalize. Always use a test blog > save > refresh then if it’s still blank there is an issue. (:
The defaults and customization options need to load for colors as well as different things a theme maker might put in otherwise those things just don’t show up.

How you CAN tell if a theme is stolen:
Proof or some people call them screenshots and viewing and comparing the source code of original and stolen themes. ie. [x]
How you CAN'T tell if a theme is stolen:
Thinking they 'all look alike' and just feel through the dark force it is stolen and go around pointing fingers yelling, 'J'accuse!'
At theme hunter (and I would suspect most theme makers) we don't accuse people of stealing willy nilly because it's drama and despite the rawr!anons we get, we actually don't like it. We understand to accuse someone of stealing might make them 'look bad' on tumblr. Because LBR you care just a little... There are MANY theme stealers that aren't brought to light because they simply apologize, take it down, and move on. The ones we have put on our list have done it a couple of times and/or have been told to take them down but have not. Typically it is not only stolen code from one theme maker but multiple. Hence, last years theme maker blackout. Please do not think we LIKE to deal with all this. We do not. As theme makers ourselves who reblog themes as well as resources for theme making we don't want to have to post all this stuff but we have to, it won't lessen if we don't.
Bottom line is: Stealing, just don't do it.
Okay before people jump on my ass for not letting this go, I just wanted to reply to this message, not just for the person who messaged us but once again for everyone on the list. I'm just going to bluntly put it out there because I've explained this multiple times already. But nowhere does it say edit AND redistribute/repost. Also please read the actual rules that she has set up here: http://tashabartons.tumblr.com/mythemes. Let me quote, I mean can it get more clear and precise than, editing and redistributing with the credits on still counts as stealing. You and others do not get to choose and pick what part of the rules you want to follow when you want to. If you don't like the way a theme maker has set up the rules, just don't use their themes. Also I don't care what /community/ you are a part of, you are not more special that anyone else on the internet. Stealing the codes may not have been your intention and I understand you want to help those less knowledgeable in CSS/HTML - but it doesn't erase the fact that you have still stolen not just the actual codes but the recognition the theme maker deserves for actually making the thing in the first place. In particular your case. This is a code you shared. It's really offensive that in the post you don't even give the slightness mention of whose theme you've edited. In the live preview, there no visual credit anywhere but you have the time to put your own name/credit in the sidebar. The only time I could tell who the original theme belonged to was in the source code. And if according to you, these people are so CSS/HTML illiterate then they wouldn't know how to reach the source code, which in turns means they couldn't find the credit and if you can't/see find something, what's the difference to it not being there at all? If you want to help people, maybe make your links private and only upon request or direct people to tutorials we and the internet have. If you really wanted to be really helpful to /your/ community, maybe you could make new themes from actual theme bases provided for this service.
