When it finds you.
Moonglade, silence and unknowns. There in a bed laid an elf, a Sin’dorei of tragic health. To and fro his conciousness waxed and Waned. Memories of his past lives sputtering into recollection before dissolving into the long since known insanity. His body was emaciated, malnourished and weaker each day. Though he grew thinner and thinner, though his body atrophied he hadn’t died. It was as if something inside was keeping him alive, and at the same time leeching his very mass from his form.
From time to time his tenders would heard sudden gasps, wide eyes and outcries. Though some knew of Silitharius and what happened to him, most saw him as a mystery, an elf of poor circumstances.
Conciousness found him most under one circumstance. Something unknown and eerie that would happen once every few days, sometimes more frequently. A girl dressed in a bright red dress, straight long black locks tied in a ponytail and black slippers, blue eyes and a deep frown on her cherub like face.” Silly!” The girl called out each time, and each time Silitharius found his mind just enough to cast a single spell, transporting the girl through a portal beneath her feet and someplace else. The event was easy enough to witness by medics, but so often was it quick that none realized where the child had come from, how she’d gotten inside, or where she went. At the end of the phenomenon? Silitharius slipped back into his weakened unconscious state. Motives and reasoning aside, someone often came for Silitharius on what was likely his death bed. This girl that stood no more than four feet tall addressed no one else but Silitharius, and often angry and chiding was her voice.
Months passed...until an event came so much more severe. Any medics witnessing the scene would see the ceiling be consumed in undiluted blackness, inky and devoid of any other color, void essence painted the ceiling, oozing down the walls as one long arm pushed into exsistence, massive clawed fingers depositing the small girl down on the floor next to his bed before sloooowly retreating back to the ceiling. Bright yellow eyes opening to peer down at the elf. “ Silly, You’re coming home.” The girl spoke sternly, her small hands balled into fists.
The sensation of the void spawned a volatile reaction in the elf, another sharp gasp and a consciousness returned. Wide jade eyes peered up at the ceiling, trembling in terror. “ No, Ah..” He turned, seeing Ari so close by. Trembling fingers and a soft mumbling banished the small girl to another place, though where was unknown. In that same instant, blackness consumed the whole room, sound muffled. Silence and blackness was all that remained as the massive black hand that engulfed the Emaciated elf.
When it was over? Silitharius and the girl were no more, leaving only a bed crushed in the shape of a massive hand print.. Blackness faded into the ceiling as if there was a drain allowing the substance to ooze away.
The elf was no more, though many a mile away, a large globe of blackness hovered in the sky above Darkshore, ominous and looming.
