The Salt and Pepper Robots Return || Thickania
Callie wasn't in a happy mood. It was the two year anniversary of her parents death, an event she didn't think she would ever get over. Not just because she lost her only family, but because of how she lost them.
Planets in the sky, strange robots coming to their house, her parents forcing her to hide. She should have been with them. They tried to talk to the robots, appeal to their better nature. Her parents, like herself, always tried to see the good in people. But the robots didn't seem to have a better nature. Callie watched through a window as her parents were shot down by these things. It was her worst memory.
Now, exactly 2 years later, she was no where near figuring out what the robots were. They continued to haunt her nightmares and she had no clue what they were, only the information from that day to go on. She sat on the part of the roof that was just outside her bedroom window looking at the sky. "What were those things?"
Suddenly, the sky got darker. She turned to see what was going on and was shocked at the sight.
A giant ship was hovering overhead, not far from her house. She squinted to get a better look and her eyes went wide. She had seen something like that before. "It can't be. That looks like..." She trailed off, not wanting to think about it. Instead, went back into the house, into her parents old room. She grabbed her Dad's gun that she didn't know how to use, just in case, and ran outside in the direction of the ship.
