Although she easily could have kicked her now ex-boyfriend’s ass, Amity was glad for Vance’s intervention, honestly. She still wasn’t healed 100% from the bullet she’d taken to the shoulder, and her partner’s presence had kept her from injuring herself further in self-defense. The petite blonde gives a shake of her head at his words, “EX-boyfriend...” she states firmly, “And yes... I’d... like it if you stayed...”

“Why do you always get to take point?” Amity questions, her dark brows furrowing as she glares rather intently at Vance’s back. “I distinctly remember you taking point last mission.” 

Yes, it’s a petty thing to argue, but she’s frustrated with her partner’s inability to accept that she can, in fact, do her job.
