[ the message came a bit later than he expected. he was certain that she would be in touch with him sooner rather than later. her reputation was that of a woman who could keep her word and made it a point to do so. the moment the text lit up his phone, his face lit up, glad that she had actually gotten back to him. he responds quickly with a confirmation text to let her know that he would be there and then he heads towards his hidden room so he can start prepping his gear for the night. ]

The response was so quick that she barely had time to put her phone down, laughing to herself at how eager he seemed, but if she was honest, and for the most part she was, there was a foreign feeling of nervousness in her stomach. Whether it was from the idea of being around him again (she loved a challenge) or the fact that she was about to let him in on something that was close to her, she couldn’t tell. She busied herself with gathering the information she’d gotten so far and slipping into her suit, leaving the hood of it hanging from her neck as she began stretching herself out for the night to come.
