DOOR 1 -> THE FINAL DOOR

(Mell Rhodes Version)

tried to draw a comparison between how i draw Door 1 and The Final Door Mell. sorry, prepare for a yapfest. i dont know why my Mell and Morgana brainrot is going off the charts recently LOL...

DOOR 1: I draw him more proper / well-kempt and...ironically, confident and prideful. In the beginning of Door 1, he *seems* to hold himself up quite well and I wanted to make that clear in his design. He raises his head up high but is still very awkward LOL. He has a very princely look and presents himself as mature, ambitious, and "charismatic". Although he looks like a normal, sociable noble - he still is very reserved, similar to The Final Door Mell design-wise. I draw his hair more sharp and spiky? It shapes his face very cleanly, if that makes sense. He just feels more angular and rigid in comparison but - his softest feature is definitely the slight smile but that is more elevated in TFD Mell.

FINAL DOOR: Uhmm, definitely a less proper look LOL. I made him look a bit more shabby and loose. It's a more fun and soft look. He probably looks more worried and awkward than Door 1 Mell, which I mean, both are already in that category LMFAO. Final Door Mell slumps more and doesnt really raise his head often in my depictions. He is a bit more reserved and cowardly in his stance. His hair is more messy and fluffy, kinda just curls around his face instead of neatly shaping it. Not sure how to describe it but I make his facial structure more round and soft - kinda squishy LOL, compared to the more rigid and angular look of Door 1 Mell.

(drew her in TWHG's theater outfit from door 1 but with darker colors. she feels gothic here LOL. i wasnt sure if i wanted her to look a bit irritated or playful so i did both.)

a bit ooc prob? but i wanted them to act like stupid teens on a date if life was kinder to them...?? i like the dynamic of morgana still tearing into him 😭 and thought itd be pretty funny and playful if she straight up called him spineless then proceeded to do what he was too much of a wuss to pursue. canonically, i doubt she would ever be that forward because she seems very embarrassed by these things specifically, regardless of how blunt she regularly is. so i did a mix since this is a *somewhat* happier scenario...? idk LOL

if anyone has any MellGana ideas in mind that you want me to draw, lmk. thinking about morgana as a somewhat happy, normal teen is pretty fun but i might do some canon angst with MellGana eventually...

been playing the house in fata morgana recently and ended up doodling some stuff. and well...i had a vision 😅...im not done with the game yet but im excited 😁

rikako and the white haired girl...if i had a nickel for every time i obsessed over a chara with long white hair, red eyes, and possible purple undertones - id have two, which isnt a lot but its weird it happened twice 😭☠️
