|| Kira was in Atlanta in 2003 for Metallica, Linkin Park, and Deltones at the Summer Sanitarium Tour, at the time of the outbreak. She stuck around a week more for a kind of vacation, not wanting to fly home after her honorable discharge, because there's no one there but more ghosts. As a combat medic, she did what she could for those around her, until it was clear evacuation to the city limits was inevitable. She joins a group of survivors led by former police officer Shane Walsh.
