ok sure every once in a while the "13 yo me waking up to 569 missed discord calls because i said something that triggered kai (he/they/it)'s self diagnosed ptsd" posts are relatable. i dealt with a lot of toxic ass people around that age who existed in those circles. but also i feel like a lot of those posts just continue to perpetuate hatred and ridicule of queer and mentally ill/neurodivergent people.
yeah those experiences were hard for me to deal with, especially because i had mental health issues of my own, and those people often helped to make them worse. but also those people youre making fun of were going through something just as awful and don't deserve to be made fun of years later for mistakes theyve grown from by now.
plus its always about how "haha those they/it/catself nonbinary freaks were so weird, i'm glad i moved past that phase." ever notice that? as if being unconventionally queer is a phase and something to be ashamed of and embarrassed by. it just gives people more fuel and motivation to ostracize trans/enby people in a time where we're being attacked more than ever before.
these people desperately need to get new material LMAO.
