i see yumeship used in place of selfship

i see gijinka used in place of humanization

first of all. are one or both of these just "thing, japan" and no other reason to be using them

second of all. is it harmful to continue to use the japanese term for em. cuz ive. kiiinda given in and adopted the "thing, japan" terms due to prevalence. but i mayybe probbably shouldntve??

It's always a little bit funny when people criticize a problem within the anime/manga industry and certain reoccurring "problematic" traits that even native Japanese fans complain about too, there are some people who go "well, where was your energy with [insert western properties]" and each time, they do in fact list western properties that were either famously criticized in the same way, or given a pass the same way the anime first in question is by the majority of people *not* criticizing it

Like in trying to be aware about targeted racism you accidentally sidestep into excluding an entire medium from criticism
