Another one for my bookshelf

I told myself platonic. Oh how I knew I would not only regret gritting my teeth and putting on a smile but I knew. Under the words and between things that maybe it would help the both of us. 

Yet like plates we became tectonic.  Using words to slide and move and overcome. Yet there is this thing I can’t put my thumb on and somehow, I have found a queer peace in knowing that “I will always be young at heart.” 

Under my skin like a splinter so thin. I told her “She has this way of just simply being her that makes me feel; everything with such an intensity that my soul becomes engulfed with something I cannot touch. And yet I bet she doesn’t know I love her this much.”

“Then why don’t you tell her?” Oh, but I have and you see, we both know. Yet somehow there is an opposing force that goes against the grain of reason and it always hits around certian seasons. That is why no matter how hard I try its as easy as coming to the last digit of pi. (Impossible). 

Oh but she does inspire me. Finally I am able to see the best and worst of all things. Little did I tell her then. How you were able to penetrate to my heart. My core. For it isn’t paper thin, “Half a year without a word. All the while I busied myself to keep from anything that made me delve deep.”

One word. I found myself drowning in the beauty that is her becoming. Yet like she knows me I doth her. A curious case I often ponder. Yet again the words like darts penetrating deeper as barbs into my heart. Love unconditional and yet perhaps if she doesn’t know she does now.
