House of the Dragon was nothing if not a lesson in "why you shouldn't name your child after your father or grandfather"
Apparently, it's 'ZhanCheng Week' somewhere on Tumblr and I am heaving.
Gods.
I'm going to stay far, far, far away from that.
Wait, are there actually any good (or at least, not-bad) eye descriptors to when writing Asian characters?
I know not to use food (eg almonds), or tilted or slanted or anything like that, but...?
Are eyes just a subject of description to avoid entirely? I’ve seen some drawing tutorials from Asian artists that use “more narrow / narrower” and “pointed” but I have no idea if those are actual descriptors that won’t offend or if they’re simply terminology to help artists understand and draw better

3, Heirs HyoSang, Things to Avoid
“Now? Now you listen to me?”
Hyo-Shin winces at the frustration in his wife’s voice when she waves him inside her office. Eun-Chae stands in her play area watching her mama solemnly and Hyo-Shin picks her up to comfort himself. Eun-Chae lays her head on his shoulder and curls her tiny hand in his shirt.
“Omma mad. Min-Jae.”
“I’m sure she’s not mad at Min-Jae.” His daughter snorts at him like that is obvious while they listen to the rest of the call. It ends in a few minutes and Eun-Sang flops into her chair with a groan.
“I warned Young-Do that taking Min-Jae on set with him all the time was a bad idea.”
“Did something happen?”
“Min-Jae told a reporter that Young-Do was his favorite dad. He got Min-Jae alone during a scene and, well, you know how protective he is of his son and our president. I have to go down to the police station to pick them up. Rachel’s out of the country and it would be a very bad idea if Myung-Soo went.”
Hyo-Shin feels his blood freeze as he holds Eun-Chae a little closer. “Min-Jae okay? Go to Min-Jae?”
“I’m sorry, sweetie,” Eun-Sang says as she puts on her jacket. “No Min-Jae today. Maybe tomorrow.”
“Now, that is a bad idea,” Hyo-Shin says as he fights a smile. Eun-Chae’s face screws up and she starts to cry. He waves her off when she hesitates. He bends down and kisses her before she can hedge her problems. “I can calm her down. I have a new lullaby for her.”

I BEG YOU
It can really damage your skin. Just don't do that ffs I don't care if Pinterest or some "beauty gurus" tell you to do so and that you'll get rid of your acne scars
DON'T LISTEN TO THEM
The Bad
Bad breeders have unfortunately tainted the reputations of the good breeders, causing the people that genuinely care about each rabbit like they are family to be shunned by rescue groups and animal activists even when they are trying to help make positive changes to the pet industry. Unfortunately most bad breeders don’t even acknowledge that what they are dong is wrong and are often in denial when confronted. The bad breeder group won’t make changes to how they operate their rabbitries unless rabbit owners and people looking to add a rabbit to their family force change to happen.
Spotting one might be hard, especially if you are excited about getting a baby bunny and accidentally look past the red flags. When buying a rabbit always make sure you ask many questions about diet, housing, health of the doe and buck and if there is anything “hidden” the blood line. Sometimes genetic problems may arise later in the rabbits life. I’ve noticed that while pretending to be a potential buyer these breeders care very little about where the kits end up, if you start to change your mind about buying from them sometimes they will stop responding or casually bring up that they will just bring them to a pet store or sell them as snake food. It’s hard to say no after that but if you buy the kit they will produce more rabbits and force more people to buy them.
An easy way to spot bad breeders is to ask what breeds they focus on, if they mention they have a few different kinds but none have pedigrees then don’t buy from them. Especially if it’s someone that breeds their pets because they are too lazy to spay/neuter. Hybrid rabbits can have a higher risk of health problems that can show up since they aren’t from any serious breeding programs. If you want a crossbred rabbit visit a local shelter, never buy a crossbred rabbit from a breeder. It can be hard to tell if a breeder is bad if they have purebred pedigreed rabbits in this case it’s best to wait a few weeks and see how many litters they produce, if does are bred back to back or if they are producing a steady flow of rabbits and not keeping any then don’t buy.
They will usually deal with health problems in their herd by killing the rabbits rather than spending money on treatment or they will just ignore the problem so they can make the most money. They may also try to sell off the sick animals to pet stores or people new to rabbit owning that many not notice symptoms. They also won’t offer a health guarantee or refund if something is to happen to the rabbit. Often they are very uneducated about rabbit raising and will answer questions with false information which will cause the pet rabbit to pass away at a young age. Many rabbits will have health and behavioral issues due to careless breeding, that is one of the main reason why rabbits are surrendered to shelters.
The rabbits they raise if they happen to be purebred are typically not close to what the breed standard calls for because the average person can’t point out faults as easily so you may spend money on a “show quality” animal that is on the lower end of pet quality which is always very discouraging to find out. If you are looking to buy a rabbit then don’t be afraid to contact multiple breeders and even ask what their opinions on other local breeders are. Don’t buy if you feel pressured or unsure if the breeder treats their rabbits fairly. Don’t buy if the rabbits are unhealthy, underweight or injured .And lastly don’t ever buy a rabbit in order to rescue it from a bad breeder, it only means that next month there will be six other rabbits in the same situation yours was.
