Yasuto puts the "RIP" in Tripwire (pls do the thing, break my heart)

You had been shot at many times in your military career, many missing you an some finding their mark and having to have a none too happy doctor pull if from you. But this was the first time that you had been hit with a ricochet.

The crack of the sniper’s rifle rings out, your earpiece cracking to life with Jester’s voice asking if anyone can see the location of the enemy from your lofty position. Binoculars scanning the battle field and counting the crackboom times you and no doubt Dogtooth across the way both had an idea of where the enemy gunman was hiding.

“75 yards, third floor 8th window from the right.” Comes Sunshine voice, Dogtooth confirming a second later. Rifle in hand you look through the sighs at the opposite side of the battle field, enemy forces scrambling to mount more of an offence after the explosions from K had died down.

“In pursuit.” You call in to Jester and disappear from your hiding spot, flash stepping across the empty roofs and climbing down to a half destroyed fire escape on the right floor. Dogtooth’s voice once again comes to your ear, a confirmation on your position through his scope as he watches you disappear into the smoke filled building. 

Pistol from your thigh now in hand you silently stalk through the floor upturned furniture and desks with papers littering the ground and rubbing together in the breeze through the broken windows. Ears on alert a single out of place shift of paper allows you to jerk to the side as a muzzle flashes to your side, your own gun going off three times an dropping the fucker that had shot as you as a metal ping rings out along side the cracks of both guns. One to the head and two to the chest.

Pain blooms in your side and your stagger to the ground, hand digging under your vest and coming back slick with your blood. The bullet may have missed you on it’s first pass but had bit a steel beam right next to you and double back and sink itself keep into your left lung.

“I’M HIT.” Is all you can get out, before you’re stormed by a cell of trolls, their rifles all pointed at you. Your team’s voices blur together in your ear as your mask and helmet are ripped off along with your earpiece, gruff hands grabbing you and dragging you down three flights of stairs. 

Each stair aggravates the bullet in your chest and you start to cough up blood, breathing starting to get annoyingly difficult as you’re pulled out the front doors of the building you had been trapped in and thrown to the ground. A new hand grabs a fist full of hair and wretches you up to your knees, the jarring move causing you to suck in a sharp breath that in turn causes a coughing fit and clumps of blue blood to fly from your mouth and land on the ground and the front of your vest.

You could see Dogtooth and Sunshine from their perch, faces too small to make out but it was them he was sure. A voice  pipes up behind you, the same voice that belonged to the terror cell’s leader and the very man your team had been after for this mission.

You can feel the barrel of a gun press up against the back of your head as your chest starts to feel heavy with the amount of blood flooding into your lungs, the bastard drawing this whole thing out and trying to negotiate an exchange. Everyone knew he wasn’t one for taking prisoners and that fact was at the forefront of your thoughts.

You counted under your breath, six... seven.. eight.., the ballistic crack of Dogtooth’s round going through your captors head was right on time, nine second for your Kismises to sight in and take the shot. But you never heard the crack of his rifle, only the sound of the one behind your head as the last idiot had his finger on the trigger, and the jerk of his body from the headshot enough to set the weapon off.

Your heart stops before you hit the ground, the round having done through the back of your skull and severing your spinal cord. The few seconds you had left was tunnel vision, screaming, and then black.

Also three fun facts! One for: Your oldest troll, most used troll, and because I like to be a lil evil: your favorite troll :)

Oldest troll: Tarzue!! - His original personality actually went to my second oldest troll Teteira because when I made them it was for a OCT on DA! I wasn’t comfortable enough to draw guys yet so I made Tet and turned Tarzue into a lovable tech dork. Now he’s been revamped into a troll called Zypher!

Most used: Tripwire!- There are so many points in his life that could have changed his course of life it’s WILD. So many things had to line up just right to get him out of where he grew up and into the fleet, the right people whispering about the mainland military, not DYING in the snow, not dying leaving his village, JUST NOT DYING TBH. He’s been very fun to flesh out and explore his layers and every day I figure out more and more about this bastard.

Favorite Troll:  Teri you’re a monsterSO I’M CHEATING A DOING MULTIPLE 

Jessie: She has tattoos that help her regulate herself. She can get absorbed into her work so having a little health bare on her arm helps her to remember to eat.

Teteira: I never fucking finished that comic for her but she’s now currently training under her Ancestor to help control her powers better.

Areasa: She’s been looking into doing a new line of work, something a lot hotter and persnaps more smithy.

Blood, mirrors, tight space, closet monsters, death, curses, heights, solitude, failure, abandonment, the unknown, change, number 13 [for Tripwire, you can choose what ones you wanna answer ;w;]

Blood: What’s the worst injury your muse has ever had? - A botched landing for an inflation mission ended up with 3 broken ribs, bruised lung, lacerations to his side, and to top it all off a few gunshot wounds through the mission. Bad times over all, but this was back when he worked solo so next to no one knew just how bad it was in reality.

Mirrors: What is your muse’s least favorite thing about their appearance?- His fucked up horns. And the two scars on either side of his face. Those two remind him of a very very bad time in his life.

Tight Space: Does your muse ever feel that they’re not living up to their own potential?- All the time. Since having to go under the radar he’s been keeping it quiet and on the down low. With as much time as he spent in the fleet he knows his limits and capabilities, and even though he knows he’s just biding his energy for the right time he can’t help but feel he could be doing more.

Closet Monsters: Does your muse hide any aspects of their personality/life from others?- Well, his own entire fleet life and training are a secret from everyone at his flower shop job, and he does his best to keep a tight lid on his anger problems.

Death: Name one thing your muse has lost that they wish they could get back.- His fleet family. Full and whole.Curses: Does your muse believe in good/bad luck? How about karma?  - He believes in luck yea. Links it to Karma in the sense that good deeds brings good luck and good karma. Bad deeds bring the back stuff.Heights: Is your muse a risk-taker? - 200% dude. Trip getting in over his head? To be EXPECTED.Solitude: Name 3 things your muse couldn’t live without.-  His self of identity, his ancestor’s sword,  getting his revenge for his teamFailure: Has your muse ever given up on an important dream?- Less given up and more threw it into the fire when he learned better. His dream was to be accepted and even... have people care about him from the village he grew up in. To have the village leader look at him and say ‘I’m proud of you.’ That went out the door as soon as he realized how abused he had been at the hands of this village.

Abandonment: How would your muse win back someone who left them?- He would plead his case. Track the person down and try to  change their mind about whatever happened. Talk to them, do what he can to keep them for as long as he can. He doesn’t want to loose them... he’ll do everything he can to keep them.

The Unknown: Is your muse a philosophical person? -No really tbh! Maybe in some circumstances, such as ‘I killed a killer. One life taken for all the ones they were going to take. So how bad is it in the long run?’

 Change: What was a turning point in your muse’s life?-The first one would be when he ran away from home to the mountains. It gave him a new view of the world AND what  healthy relationships look and feel like.Number 13: Does your muse believe any superstitions? - Karma’s got teeth, and will come for you when you deserve it.
