Influential Tuesday! I noticed don’t often post about the things and people that influence and inspire me and my work. Well, its never too late to start. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ From left to right: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The painter: I have been following @camilladerrico and her beautiful paintings for quite some time now. Her bright colors were what immediately attracted me to them and I have wanted an original in my house for quite some time. Her positivity and message of inclusivity is shown beautifully in her work. I have read her books, of which I have learned so so much about painting, composition, how to draw. And although we have never met she has always been very helpful and quick to answer any technical doubts that i have had. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The photographer: On the second picture we have a snippet of one of @paulnicklen photos. His gorgeous and epic pictures of the Arctic speak volumes of why conservation is so important. He has unknowingly provided me with many a reference photo (thank you). I hope that one day paintings speak as loudly as his pictures do. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The comic: And last but definitely not least, my favorite comic book, Rose. @finchmeredith1 and @igguara have created my favorite place in the comic book world. Rose has been my go to for a relaxing evening in (which ends up being quite stressful cause they always end up in a pickle). But she has taught me the importance of loving and being forgiving, even to those who seem to far gone to be redeemed.
