It's not actually in the trailer, it cuts before it goes to the actual sunken place
Maya and Riley have the most Slytherpuff friendship I've ever seen. (Maya is always aware of who has the power in the situation -- see her reaction to Mark Cuban, for example. And Riley is enormously loyal to her friends. Like, that's what keeps her going.) I sort people based primarily on what they value most and not personality traits. Which is why, even though I think Lucas is clever and loyal, I'd put him in Gryffindor. He wrestled a bull because he wanted to be brave!
This is an interesting way to look at it. While I agree that Maya/Riley do embody the Slytherpuff relationship really well, I’m not so sure that I agree with Lucas being a Gryffindor because I do think that his bravery is more connected to his desire to protect his friends than anything else (shoving Billy against the wall when he started badmouthing Farkle in 1x13, defending Zay from the bully in 2x03, wanting to go beat up Riley’s bully in 2x17). I’m not saying riding the bull didn’t take courage; I just think that at the end of the day, his friends are what matter most to him. As Zay says, “Lucas does anything for anybody.”
