Thunder Bay’s Great Adventures by Erin
My name is Erin. I work in the tourism industry, and am a wife, and mother to a very busy 6 ½ year old daughter. When I am not busy with my personal life, I enjoy exploring and have a passion for tourism. I love creating great personalized adventures to Thunder Bay for people of all ages, abilities, and lifestyles. What I love the most about tourism is that you don’t have to travel to an international destination to be a tourist. You can be a tourist in your own back yard, and can explore both the indoors or the outdoors no matter if you are young or old. There is an adventure waiting to be found by everyone. It could be as simple as exploring a museum and art gallery, or be that great adventure like rock climbing, or day full of hiking.
You may ask why Thunder Bay? Thunder Bay is the gateway to Northern Ontario, and located on the shores of Lake Superior, the largest fresh water lake in the world. We are also surrounded by the great outdoors including being on the edge of the world’s largest area of boreal forest. You can drive less than 15 minutes and be away from the city and surrounded by nature, where you can enjoy the sites and sounds of what Mother Nature has to offer you. If you don’t have access to a vehicle you can also enjoy wildlife, and enjoy the many parks inside the City of Thunder Bay. If you aren’t into the outdoors, Thunder Bay has some great indoor adventures. You can explore many historical sites, including our Thunder Bay Historical Museum and Fort William Historical Park, or indulge in the arts at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery. Thunder Bay also has a great and growing culinary scene, and the only live performing art theatre between Sudbury and Winnipeg.
Throughout my blog you will get some great ideas for your next adventure to Thunder Bay and area. A town full of adventures just waiting to be explored, by people of all ages, abilities, and life styles.
