I SAID IT!
PART THREE WAS GOING TO LEAVE US ALL THE MORE CONFUSED. I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT.
Anyhow, I don’t know what to do with myself right now, my emotions are all messed up. Like, I need to rewatch that episode a few hundred times.
But really though,
It’s crazy though. In just a few words from Riley to Maya out in the field we learned so much more about Riley then we ever have.
1. We learned that yeah, she’s acts ditz sometimes, but it is all on purpose. She isn’t completely oblivious to what is going on. The Riley Protection Committee is completely unnecessary because she already knows everything, she just pretends not to. She likes to hope that the world is a better place, so she pretends all the bad doesn’t exist. LIKE THAT IS SOME DEEP STUFF RIGHT THERE.
2. We also learned her true feelings. She LOVES Lucas. But she is straight up repressing her feelings for the sake of others. Just like she always has. Even if it is something that can completely break her, she doesn’ts care because those she cares about are more important.
Honestly, I’m still trying to process everything. I need to rewatch and breathe and stress eat before I can analyze this episode any further. Ll I can say is that I have underestimated Riley Matthews.
