"I only invited one axe murderer in and that was you.” with college Cal where he meets you by the hallway in the residence as you try to bring in your stuff on your first day of moving in?
You had more stuff thanyou realised.
It had felt like you’dbeen moving boxes forever, and you still had a couple more to go. Sighing asthe door to your new room closed behind you again, you started to walk towardsthe door to the building again, when you collided with someone else.
“Shit, sorry.” A pair ofhands moved to grab your arms as you stumbled backwards, and you lifted youreyes to find a pair of dark brown ones and a warm smile. A small gasp left yourlips when you saw how beautiful the boy was. “Didn’t see you there.”
“It’s fine.” You’resurprised at how calm your voice is, considering the increase of your heartrate at the meeting of the handsome stranger. “Probably my fault.”
“No, I take full blame.”He grins, hands dropping from your arms, before he holds one out again. “I’mCalum.”
“Y/N.” You smile, shaking his hand. “What are you studying?”
“Music, you?”
“Psychology.”
“Aw cool!” His smilesomehow widens, and the butterflies in your stomach flutter harder. “You allfinished moving in?”
“I’ve still got a couplemore boxes.”
“I’ll help you if youwant.”
“Thank you, you don’thave to-“
“I insist, lead the way.”
Calum steps back andgestures towards the door behind him with a smile, and you walk past quickly toavoid him seeing your blush. He whistles happily as you make your way back toyour car, and makes sure he has the heavier of the two boxes left to carry, andon the way back inside, asks you questions about your home town and you ingeneral.
He stops as you reachthe door to your room, turning to smirk at you.
“There’s not an axemurderer in there waiting to kill me right?” He jokes as you unlock the door, and you laugh as you step inside.
“I only invited oneaxe murderer in and that was you.” You assure him, Calum’s own laughterechoing down the hall at your words. “See, no axe murderer.”
“I’m glad.” He nods, placing down your box carefully before looking around your room. “I see yourroommate’s already moved in.”
“Yeah, she got hereearly this morning so was done by the time I got here. She seems nice, studyingGeology I think, which as far as I’ve been able to establish, is all aboutrocks.”
“I lucked out and gotanother music student.” Calum admits with a grin. “Name’s Luke. He seems prettycool.”
“Nice one.”
You stand smiling foranother moment as Calum looks around, grin widening as he notices thewhiteboard propped up against one of the boxes. Bending down and grabbing thepen attached to it. You cock an eyebrow as he scrawls a phone number onto it,before writing a name underneath, his body blocking what it says.
“Well I’ll get out ofyour hair for now.” He smirks as he stands back up, backing out of the room. “Callme if you wanna go for coffee sometime, yeah?”
You nod and he sends youa wink, leaving you to look back at what he’d written on the board. Underneathhis number, he’d written his name, and ‘the better looking music student inroom 14’, and drawn you a picture of an axe.
Maybe having a lot ofboxes wasn’t so bad after all.
