You know I think your art is amazing! I wish you lived here; places go crazy over stuff like that! If they already have art like that displayed, just ask if they’d be interested in yours and take your portfolio.
You guys are amazing but just--
Displaying my art or showing somebody my sketchbook in person is a multi-layered notion that leaves me insecure and nervous: its like telling somebody that I love them and just watching their face as they stay silent. Are they going to walk away? Are they going to break my heart or love me back? Its so nerve wracking and intimate and revealing--I am never really prepared for it.
Regardless I am going tomorrow afternoon to the shop where I'm going to ask the owner about how it would work; my friend who works there says that I probably will just hang the paintings and the owner of the shop will take a certain cut from the profit of works sold.
I'll let you guys know what the process is around tomorrow afternoon or in the evening.
If you find a place near you that would be willing to display and sell my work (they would get a cut of the profits) then let me know and I will be more than happy to ship out a few pieces. :3
