thoughts on BanishedHero? (Player x Banished Knight BRING HIS CALL CARD BACK DEVS IM BEGGING YOU)
BanishedHero can't work unless you make your Player visit him a lot.
In my case I can see it being like- Player post chapter 3, unfortunately.
Sure they felt somewhat pity for him before, especially after drinking him again in the mansion,the gulit, from killing their King.
I assume Banished Knight knows Player killed the king..why else would he be gone?
He even says ,,you managed to do it,,.
It feels...weird, especially for Player. A man so loyal to his king and his kingdom, now has given up because the king is gone and he has no purpose, but at least he found another one, and yet somehow holds no venom to the person who killed the King and also defeated him in a fight.
He's eager to teach Player too! And sell gear.
I imagine, that he believes Player doesn't mean harm, they they're truly not a bad person, they had a purpose and are loyal to their boss,just like he did. Perhaps he even tells himself, that Player knows what they're doing, and it'll be fine in the end.
Player comes, that snarky spark gone in their eyes, replaced with gulit.
He now pities them. They are now more professional, trying to be a better knight, a better hero. He offers them help and they take it, eventually they maybe spar, share wisdoms and knowledge. Player might have the dmg points and fast reflexes, but Banished Knight was a real knight and worked for a King who was also a gurdian, he can offer companionship in the times they ask and wisdom.
It's a strange but comforting ship.
Nothing comes out of it, they never become a couple in my eyes, but they really hold that strong bond, sometimes they hold hands maybe , look deep into each others eyes, or rest against each other by the campfire they set up after sparing all day.
Perhaps its some sort of bromance, I can't tell, I just feel it and im greyaromantic, there is something, but not romantic lovey dovey.
Banished Knight knows of the hardships of being a knight and helps them in any way he can, he won't win the battles for them but he can help them to stay strong.
He knows probably of their complex thoughts about being a hero and how they're failing people more than anyone else perhaps.
