Psychology of games
I am curious about the psychology of video games. Everything in the game can make or break the immersion that a person feels. How can we as indie game developers learn to grasp the core of this concept? Some devs do this flawlessly like with Undertale, but not everyone is good at this. There are times when even AAA companies can fail badly. Maybe I need to look into the Self-Determination Theory.  Supposedly, we as humans are motivated to do something  that it satisfies our needs for competence, autonomy, and relatedness.
