This workshop will educate attendees on how to successfully chase storms in a safe manner. Storm chasers need to adhere to a number of restrictions in order to be safe, and still have fun. I will discuss the photographic techniques I use when I chase storms. There are two distinct types of chasing- daytime and nighttime. Each requires a different set of parameters for safety and success. Equipment matters for nighttime chasing-especially from a safety aspect. In addition, chasers must research and plan, never “just go”. I will also present a slideshow of some of my weather and nature work during the workshop. Al is what you would call an extreme weather addict. He loves all kinds of weather, and loves to photograph it- thunderstorms, snowstorms, heat waves, flooding, bright sunshine, sunsets, wind, ice. Photographing weather naturally bestowed upon him a bond with the flora and fauna that reside in the weather. #wddi #dentoning #dentontx #thinlinefest #thinlinex #musicfest #filmfest #photofest #festival #fun
