So why is Jack-O called a Valentine? Is it just because she was created in the backyard? The GG World entry says Valentines are entities made by the Universal Will. This is mostly a semantics issue but I was assuming That Man found a Valentine and re-suited it for his purposes before I finished the story but that made it seem Jack-O was made wholly by him.

She’s called a Valentine because she’s a replica vessel and genetic material of the same Magic that built the Valentines, also serving the same purpose as they do as a ‘patch’ for Justice.

However, unlike the others, she held the true Scales of Juno, and an even closer match to Aria’s Memory Core, even though it was fragmented from being awakened early as a 'rush job’.

Could Jack-O's role as "Spoiler" tie in with Raven's old mission of collecting Solaria's Gear resonance data?

Only if she was “spoiler” and “spoiler”, and especially “spoiler”.

I kid I kid…

Actually no, Jack-O’ only made a brief appearance in Lightning the Argent but was in a hood that hid her appearance, so she might have still been being constructed by “That Man” at the time of those events.

She was hardly involved at that time.

A Backyard Resident?  Hmm, well…

For one thing, Jack-O is “That Man’s” Missing 3rd Servant that was often hinted at for a number of years in the past… so she (assuming she is a ‘she’) has been working with the Gearmaker for a long time now!

“That Man” has assembled a 'motley crew’ of extremely powerful servants since his days of creating Gears.

I-No, a witch from the future that is able to time travel and influence causality!

Raven, an undying immortal who can also influence certain levels of causality and has served as an observer of history!

And now Jack-O, who is thus far a complete mystery!

We honestly have no idea what her powers and abilities are or even if she is indeed a Backyard resident!  "That Man" has been existing in the Backyard for a great number of years, ever since 2180 when he was last seen during the events of Lightning the Argent, only to finally make an appearance in 2186 during the events of GG2 Overture!

Jack-O certainly shares an uncanny resemblance to the Valentines, though that may not necessarily speak for her case and situation or background.  She might have been the one who warned “That Man” about the coming danger so many years ago!

But again, this is all speculation.

As of now, it should be obvious that she has sworn loyalty to “That Man”, and is unlike the unpredictable I-No, or 'eternally loyal’ Raven (meaning she has her own unique relationship with “That Man”).  This most likely automatically places her at odds with Sol Badguy, as anyone who has anything to do with the Gearmaker becomes his enemy!

One thing’s for certain, if she’s making an appearance now… it’s because she’s on a mission from “That Man”.  He was last seen battling it out against Bedman just prior to Justice having emerged from the Cradle during the events of GGXrd.

Whether she has much to do with the Backyard or even the Gears themselves… remains to be seen!

Third Servant also appeared in the beginning of Xtra manga.

Oh! I nearly forgot.  Thanks for mentioning!

Though to be fair it’s hard to place GGXtra Manga in the timeline since it either happens before or after GGX.

How many times did That Man's Third Servant appear in story mode? Never?

He’s (assuming it’s a he) only made two appearances so far, the first was during a secret meeting with Raven and I-No (as well as “That Man”) during the events of Lightning the Argent Novel (in which the Gearmaker requests Raven to record some Gear “singing data” from Solaria to analyze).

The second is in Guilty Gear X Plus, where he is in the shadows behind “That Man” when discussing Dizzy’s existence when she was first discovered.
