Trump claims he is ‘entitled’ to third term during Texas rally
Donald Trump suggested he should be permitted to serve a third term as president, reiterating his unsubstantiated claim that the 2020 election was "stolen" from him.
Speaking at a rally in Corpus Christi, Texas, Trump asserted he was "entitled" to an unconstitutional third term, alleging that Democrats "cheated like hell."
The U.S. Constitution's 22nd Amendment explicitly prohibits any person from serving more than two terms as president, a fact Trump has previously acknowledged.
During the same event, Trump criticized Democratic congresswoman Ilhan Omar, describing her as "crazy" for heckling him at his recent State of the Union address.
Omar had reportedly shouted "You have killed Americans!" during Trump's speech in response to his comments on immigration enforcement.
