SKOPJE, Macedonia | Macedonian lawmakers gear up for vote to amend constitution
SKOPJE, Macedonia — Macedonia’s parliament is resuming a debate on proposed constitutional changes to rename the country North Macedonia, changes that would allow it to join NATO following a deal with neighboring Greece.
It is unclear whether the left-led government will secure the two-thirds majority in the 120-seat house that is needed for the drafting of the constitutional amendments to begin.
