Happy album release day to my beautiful friend Kelsey Waldon! We've been working on photos together since 2013. We've seen each others triumphs and set backs, and inspired one another with our stubborn attitudes and focus on making good work. Today marks a special day, as Oh Boy Records lifts Kelsey's art up not just by putting this record out, but by being a support group of caring and passionate friends who are really shining examples of how music industry folks should be. It takes a village for any of us to make our work and progress it. The stellar craftsmanship displayed in the recordings, the advocates who tirelessly work for an artist on the business end of it all, the visual art that becomes associated with a record, and of course - the focus, practice, and conjuring of spirit needed to write the songs into being. Kelsey is one of the strongest and hardest working artists that I know; never bending her standards in exchange for convenience or easy career advancements. When Oh Boy signed her, I knew it was right. We've known the hard times and had each of our share of doubters, but today is a beautiful one causing for celebration. Cheers to the future, dear friend. It was an honor to shoot another one of Kelsey Waldon’s record covers! We shot all day this past May out in the mountains, from dawn until dusk. This image was taken on the final roll of film as we left our location. The turkey and coyote calls echoed in the valley while we made this. Sometimes it’s the last minute or spontaneous shots that end up containing the most magic. Great things on the horizon for this gal!

A few photographs of mine from the interior packaging and gatefold of @lukebellofficial 's "The King is Back" album, which was released this month. My head is filled with words for Luke, his music, and he as a person, but nothing seems to write itself down as well as I would like. Beyond the friendship, I'll forever have so many fond memories of our big photoshoot almost 10 years ago, and all the times before and after snapping a frame here and there. He forever lives on not just through music, but through the joy he brought his friends and family. This album is such a perfect tribute to our friend Luke. Always and forever a golden voice of country music.
