[leah/mitchell six; november 4th, 1903]
Mitchell: *walking hurried but stealthily around Brackner manor at midnight, careful not to make a noise as he goes around the edge, keeping near the trees and under cover instead of simply walking through the open grounds. Counting the windows, he stops below hers, wrinkling his nose and then turns to run up a nearby tree as he sees a branch close enough to her window. He climbs it quickly enough, standing on the branch and balancing on it before he notices the window is closed with the blinds drawn and he exhales, muttering something about 'always being difficult' as he looks for something to use in his pockets and finds a couple of arrowheads that had broken off and then flicks them at her window, the arrowheads making a soft tapping sound that wouldn't carry very far* Leeeaaahhh! *psssts, still speaking quietly* Leah: *had been restringing her bow and shaping it, humming to herself in delight and thinking idly and amusedly about the fact that her siblings were coming home for her birthday weekend as well, even though it had been just a week ago that they'd been home before; she still missed them at hogwarts, and besides, it would make her birthday celebrations bearable. Not understanding why she couldn't just spend her birthday how she wanted to anymore, she was already planning on sneaking out of the manor early that morning when she suddenly hears the soft tap and blinks, turning around towards the window, smiling instinctively as she hears her name and goes to the window, laying her bow down and opening it, arching an eyebrow as she sees him balanced on the tree out there, remarking idly* You know if my father catches you... *her brow wiggles as she moves to the side* ...you'd better just get in here then. Mitchell: If you let me stay out here a moment longer I might be. *lips twitch, looking up and jumping to catch another branch and starts to swing to gain momemtum, letting go as he moves forward through the air, tumble rolling to make the landing smoother, grinning once as he stands up* Your bedroom couldn't be on the first floor? *turning around to face her before he grins once more and says still very quietly* I wanted to be the first one to say happy birthday so *chuckles once* Happy birthday! *grins, opening his arms to hug her tightly before he pulls back only slightly and leans down to give her a quick happy birthday kiss* You're nearly ancient! *teasing, his eyebrows wiggling* Leah: *deliberates teasingly* Maybe I should let you be caught. In my bedchamber, at midnight or so. This is most improper. *just grins at the sentiment even as she turns to watch him leap through the window, undeniably impressed and beaming--she turns to close her window and mutters a spell to silence the room, before turning back to face him as well, amused and laughs once as she falls in to hugging him, holding on tightly and rather fiercely, blinks once in surprise as he kisses her--too short to really properly reciprocate but she's beaming as she pulls back before she laughs* Oi, hey. You're older than I am!! What does that make you then? *brow wiggles back at him, without letting go* Mitchell: I know it is. *smirks briefly* I thought you might like it. Part one of your present, me in your bedroom at night all alone. *wiggles his eyebrows before chuckling softly* me? I don't even want to think about it. I'm bordering on prehistoric. *shudders, chuckling again* So...are you ready for your most underwhelming present of the day? *lips twitch* It only gets better from here, darling. Leah: *she laughs and shakes her head* Oh I see. I should have realized you'd give me yourself. In that case, yes, I certainly do like it. *seems to hear how that sounds only a moment later, clears her throat and says rather quickly to cover it* I'm sure it's not underwhelming. *lips twitch in delight* ...and yes, please. *brow pops and wiggles* Mitchell: *lips twitch in brief amusement, eyebrow cocking as he licks his lips once* Do you now? *grinning teasingly, but he allows for her to change the subject and then nods once* Alright. *he brings his hands up around his neck to take off a necklace he had been hiding under his shirt, holding it up for her to see, it was made of three strings intertwined like braids with a wooden monkey charm he had carved* I was looking through one of Rowland's spellbooks he left behind and I found this spell...*grins* I've been working on it for a while, but I got it down. I have a charm just like it, they're connected. You can find me any time you need. Just say my name and apparate, and it'll lead you to me. *smiles a bit* I would suggest you leave it for emergencies. Wouldn't want you to apparate into the tavern or something. Leah: *blushes (to her annoyance) very slightly and then grins slowly as he gives her the necklace, eyes going wide in delight as she sees what it is he's carved and chuckles just once, saying lightly* A monkey. How appropriate. *she blinks in slight surprise as he keeps going, her eyes snapping back to his the moment he mentions his brother and then slowly starts to beam as he continues, her eyes going wide and her jaw drops for a moment before she says happily* Right. Of course. Oh Mitchell this is....*she clears her throat, fingering it for a moment still smiling, and then she rather decidedly, simply kisses him just once again, and pulls back, saying softly* Perfect. Thank you. Of course you might have to be careful. *lips twitching* That 'or something' is a bit worrisome. Mitchell: *chuckles* Yes well, it fits seeing as how you call me a monkey all the time. Thought it would remind you of me. *grins widely* Which is the point really. *his grin softens as he sees her reaction, but it widens once more as she kisses him briefly Perfect? I approve of this adjective. *wiggles his eyebrows* Yes well, you could interrupt me in the middle of a bath or something equally as personal. *smirks once* I wouldn't exactly mind but. *lips twitch* Leah: As you just somehow vaulted through my second story window, I don't think I'm that far off... *she chuckles, nodding once as she's still looking at it, and goes to taken it from him, saying drily and under her breath* Oh don't ruin it. *without looking up from it, delighted by the detail on the carving; looking back up and says teasingly* Not that I mind you dreaming. Can you help me put it on? *her hand closing around the little charm as she presses her hand against her heart* Mitchell: *lips twitch* Well I could have climbed up the wall but...I thought the tree would bring a bit more flair. *grins unabashedly, shrugging once and then nods as she asks him to help him put it on* Of course. *he moves her hair to one side before taking the strings and untying them, putting them around her neck and retying it again, a simple knot before moving her hair back into place* There. Looks great on you. Leah: *she chuckles once, nodding as she says lightly, both sarcastically and sincerely* How impressive. *turns slightly as he lifts her hair up, she exhales for a moment, determined not to shiver as she casts her eyes back up at him and then echoes herself* Thanks. I love it, honestly. *she brings her hand to her own hair, fixing a strand behind her own ear without moving still, almost stubbornly* And you're incredibly impatient. *lips flick* What are you doing today? I was going to come find you but...
