This morning
Someone just sent me this.
My dad got me some provisions to get me through the season of garden volunteering. I was in desperate need of a good hat and one of my mentors suggested overalls for the really messy composting days and I noticed a clearance bralette that looked like it had a strawberry pattern, I immediately added it to my cart before I even zoomed in on the pattern to see the LITTLE GOATS.
If loving big spoons is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
Around the 31st of last year I was starting to get anxious because I knew I had too many tasks I wanted to do to finish up the year and thankfully I got through to myself and shrugged off my grumpiness as the year was turning. I can also do stuff tomorrow. Well, it’s the 5th (and 6th) and I’m finally getting to it. My unplannery is set up. I used a sticker by Emily Cotton Cram that captures some of what I am going for this year. My medical binder is in the works. On Christmas day my dad gave me two goats and I made them guardians of the TV room treats.
The biggest news of the day is I sat on the floor this morning to finish up my medical binder and I was able to get up by myself without panicking that I was going to have to call for help. That boot protected me for months but gd it was also A CHALLENGE. And then I did a Slav squat to prove I could. Fafner is at puppycamp today!
We wrangled goats, we fed goats, we milked goats, I’m exploring moving in with the goats.
Okay, don’t be a shut in Jennifer, let’s go on a little outing. What do I need for the week?
It’d be great if I found a cheap clip lamp.
I need a planter (I do not recommend sofa futoning across the nation with plants)
Maybe I’ll treat myself to an overpriced heirloom tomato and some kombucha.
What I got:
Goat bookends
This morning when I was making coffee I could hear Faf doing little barks upstairs. Barks for when she needs help with something. I walked upstairs and she was on my bed looking at my desk. Barking at the stuffed goat I got in the mail from a friend last night. She was very much saying, “is that mine??? Can I have that??? I WANT THAT!!!” And if she had tried she could have taken it before I got to my room. I gave her some treats and tried to divert her attention with some other toys. She did not get my goat but she knows exactly where it is and her desire will never wane.
