Hidden posts due to ‘Adult Content’
@staff @support You’re review flagged posts system is absolute garbage.
I was updating a blog, and found that the Rules and FAQ post on that blog was suddenly ‘not found’. I thought it might have gotten accidentally deleted [We all know me and my fat fingers with this mobile app. Right?]
So I went through all the posts on my blogs page via the URL thinking okay, I posted it around here, did I delete it--and lo and behold, I found a big old image there that said ‘THIS POST CONTAINS ADULT CONTENT! CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE!’
This learn more sends you to tumblr’s current guidelines.
Nothing, IN that post goes against said guidelines, and I was rather upset that I would have to rewrite the rules and faq’s of the blog. But oh well. Shit happens right?
Then I got to thinking, is that SFW blog, marked as explicit and I never checked? So I searched for it. It came up fine in the tumblr search. Hmn, Ok then, so let me try looking at the post on my dashboard.
....and this is what I get:
The gif on the left is a back rub, the one on the right is a nuzzle....but both per tumblr’s algorithm, are adult.
Wanna know why? BECAUSE OF UP AND DOWN MOVEMENT
So the algorithm thought the one on the left was a handjob, and the other thought the girl was getting railed....good job guys!
BUT here’s the kicker!
How come I can appeal them if I find them on my dashboard but not in your ‘flagged posts’ section?
So now, I have to scroll through my ENTIRE blog, to find anything flagged.
