Since I’m feeling crappy I’ll make a post about the OC I’m trying to develop

Age: 17 in her “canon” universe, I guess? First year student in the RWBY verse?
I think she’s going to be something like a raccoon or a rat faunus. Something that would be looked down on as more filthy than other kinds of faunus? Something perhaps considered more lowly and easier to come by?
Because the theme around her character is based off of the young Chinese girls that get kidnapped from the cities and taken out into the country to be raised by a farming family, destined to marry their son, because of China’s low population of girls compared to boys....... So I was thinking perhaps she came from a large, poor family, in somewhere like Vacuo, which is assumed to be less wealthy, and they lived in the shit parts of a city... and one day, maybe she was walking to the market for her mom and gets snatched up?
And IDK how old she is, obviously she’d have to be young enough to not understand but old enough to deem worthy of taking... And she gets raised by this family who take her in as their own... And maybe she thinks her real family was all just a dream?
And like, obviously she’d have a tail or something, and maybe the farming family are poor humans? And they put her under with some stolen drugs and amputate her tail all the way down... So she doesn’t have anything to betray her as a faunus other than a huge scar/bump on her tailbone.
And then maybe she realizes she’s been living in this lie that she wasn’t ever really sure was the truth and puts the pieces of the puzzle together and leaves to go to Beacon / wherever to become a huntress because it’s like, the most practical choice?
Living on a farm outside of the city probably logically means a lot of Grimm wandering by and therefore she’s probably learned how to fight. And perhaps she simply has a natural affinity for it, better than the farming family, maybe being a faunus has something to do with it......
And then, IDK what her semblance or weapon would be, at all. The weapon would have to be something simple but still effective. But her semblance?? I have NO idea what it could be.
