Hey Bylers as a fandom sect can we stop belittling Robin’s feelings for Tammy or saying they were just a hallway crush? I know the analogy felt like a gut punch to us all, but Robin did say she thought Tammy was the one. She WAS in love with Tammy, she didn’t just have a crush on her.

Idk the jokes are funny but they are belittling. It feels an awful lot like belittling how Robin felt for Tammy and like not taking women’s feelings for other women seriously.

maybe i'm just starved for good movies in general and good romantic comedies specifically but i can't stop thinking about I Know Where I'm Going

#im extremely picky about my romcoms #if it's not It Happened One Night or When Harry Met Sally i'm not interested and the second one's on thin ice most days #there are a small handful of other exceptions #this is one #and one of those movies that's very made for me. it doesn't have everything but it has everything i wanted it to #beautiful determined woman? check. absolutely stunning wild landscapes? check. man who is just utterly besotted (and convincingly so)? chec #falconry subplot? uh. check i guess #i will confess. i was not sold on roger livesey going into this movie.#only other thing i'd seen him in was Life and Death of Colonel Blimp so like i knew he was good #but i did not think i was going to buy him as a dashing gallant romantic lead #i was very very wrong. going to be thinking about the ladder scene forever probably.#pride and prejudice 2005 girlies would enjoy it i think.#probably also people who are into peter wimsey/harriet vane's whole deal #and people who want to see some of the greatest directors of all time tackle what is fundamentally an extremely hallmark movie plot #chatterbox tag
