Very true, and we’ve come across enough artwork of the couple (including several that sillyanshe has submitted to the blog besides this one) to warrant this opinion!

Narratively, the legend of Tristan and Isolde has closer ties to the doomed romance of Lancelot and Guinevere, but their tragic tale of two lovers fated to share a forbidden but undying love is one that will resonate with Jonsas as well. We will be making a separate post on this topic, including some of the Tristan and Isolde artwork that particularly evoke Jon and Sansa.

How could we not include Charlie Brown’s decades-long crush on the Little Red-Haired Girl? Despite never actually appearing in the Peanuts comic strip, she was featured prominently as the object of Charlie Brown’s adolescent longing (much to the amusement and exasperation of his friends). Although he never quite mustered up the courage to actually speak to her in the comics, he often agonized over the possibility, not realizing - as Peppermint Patty and Marcie later learned - that his interest may not have been as unrequited as he thought.

The Little Red-Haired Girl made her first onscreen appearance in the animated special It’s Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown, where after a whole lot of very in-character angsting, Charlie Brown finally gets to give TLRHG (whose name, we learn, is Heather) the titular kiss.

(Jonsas, of course, will note that “Heather” has been crowned Queen in the above image, much like another little red-haired girl we could name…)

Let’s start things off with some images from Brazilian telenovela Deus Salve o Rei (God Save the King). This show is already a popular pic source for Jonsa content creators (a beautiful manip made by @sardoniyx comes to mind), and it’s not difficult to see why just based on the casting alone. But a quick review of the plot shows that there’s more Jonsa potential in this story than just the visuals…

Afonso is the crown prince of Montemor and, from a child, was created to assume the throne; honoured and fair, he is the opposite of his younger brother—the irresponsible and inconsequential Rodolfo, who only thinks about stewardship. After falling in love with a plebeian Amália of Artena, Afonso abdicates the throne, giving it to his unprepared brother. This makes relations with the neighbouring kingdom even more fragile. This will open the opportunity for Catarina to expand her ambitious plans in Montemor. She is the spoiled and ambitious princess and daughter of the wise and benevolent King Augusto of Artena.

Jon Targaryen, anyone? Jon/Sansa role reversal? Catarina as Daenerys, perhaps?
