Rally de Portugal, day 1. Sorry it's long, i'm not even writing about everything lol
Day immediately made in Coimbra, got my Belgian flag signed by the pralinés and got to tell them they're my faves and cried buckets when they won the title in Japan lol
Had to ask Thierry to take the selfie cos my hands were shaking so badly lol It's such a good pic 🥹
Martijn is more Virgo than me, he was very specific about how i should hold the flag (i kept messing it up lol).
Thierry is hot. Seriously. Hot. HOT. It cannot be said enough times. For fucking real.
He is also absolutely wonderful with fans. Whole day he had lots of people after him (more than i imagined) and he always, always stopped. I really liked the vibe around him, always very calm and easy no matter how busy it was.
Ogier also had hordes of people around him, but everything is a bit more professional and business style.
Taka just has KINDNESS all over him, man has that aura fr. He gave the fans a little sticker, v Japanese, i need to check it proper when i get home.
Vincent is so handsome in real life. Holy shit. (i asked him for a pic at the end of the day in Figueira da Foz, what can i say, i'm shallow)
Called Julien Ingrassia before the broadcast started for the ceremonial start but he didn't pay me attention. And then halfway through the cars he came over to me out of nowhere lol! I told him i didn't insist cos I realised the broadcast was starting and he said it was ok now, what a guy. He was v interested in my belgian flag LMAO He screams "smart". I wanted to talk to him about the WORDA but the pralines were about to come and i didn't want to get distracted 😭
Wasted money on the grandstand ticket for sss3 in Figueira da Foz, there were literally better spots everywhere else so i left halfway through to car watch, people watch, etc at the end of the stage and tyre fittting area.
Eoin Tracy is the lankiest mf i have ever seen in my life. And then at night i saw you guys discussing his height, i legit laughed out loud.
Elfyn is exactly as detached from everything out of the cameras as you see it on tv lol
Waved to Martijn when the pralinés were leaving parc fermé (i didnt want to hoard attention in the morning so i didnt have a pic with him yet) and that man has a STRONG handshake! He went "how are you?" looking me in the eye, i nearly passed out on the spot 😭 He is LOVELY. THERE ARE NO WORDS. MARRY ME LIL YAPPER. Anyway, we prayed for no rain today together lol got my pic. Did i say i love him?
Left for my hotel completely overwhelmed lmao The cars are SO FUCKING COOL. Big, beefy, noisy mfs, i am IN LOVE.
I also cannot BELIEVE how CLOSE you are to all the action, there is zero barriers to the public and in general everyone is SO chill and well behaved. I'm not used to this lol
Rally bros everywhere, so many guys. Also families (Sordo had whole families cheering for him everywhere). Solo girls are not much of a thing, i'm pretty sure Martijn remembered me also because of that lol
Cheering for your guys on the side of the road as they are about to go on a stage is my new favourite thing in life. What a feeling!
Last but not the least, was on the way to my hotel from the track, discussing dinner plans on the phone when i spot Andreas Mikkelsen also leaving with his co-driver in the middle of the crowds lol Ask him for a pic, he was super nice. I had no idea how the day had gone for him 🫣 so i mentioned no results but did tell him he has a beautiful boy (as he posts so much family stuff on insta). He thanked me and then turned around and goes "and you have a beautiful smile!". Charming mf, i hope i didn't turn too red 🫠
