Oh my gosh this blog is adorable. I love your HCs! If it's not too much trouble can I request some claude/sylvain hcs? I saw someone mention it awhile ago and the more I thought about it the more I loved the major cute potential (and the angst potential of course). Regardless, thank you for taking the time to write these awesome hcs and scenarios. ~
Thanks anon! I haven’t seen too much content about these two, so this could be quite interesting to write about!
These two found it quite difficult to get along initially.
They didn’t talk much in the first place, but every interaction they had felt like it was very face value, like neither ever really spoke to each other.
Artificial.
But for the both of them, it was like looking in a mirror.
Sylvain once demanded that Claude drop the nice guy act and talk to him like a real person.
When Claude tells him it’s not an act, he says “Then stop keeping so many secrets. Maybe then I’ll believe you.”
When they realized that they each had things to hide, they found relief in confiding to each other.
All the trauma and stress from their lives, it all just seemed to come out when they were together.
It was the most relaxed either of them had felt in a while, and they ended up being around each other a lot more because of it.
But Sylvain refused to join the Golden Deer.
As much as he was tempted to, he felt like he just couldn’t, not while his friends were still there, they’ve had to deal with so much on their own. Ever since they were young...
So when the war started, Sylvain and Claude fought on opposing sides.
During the battle of Gronder, they stood face to face, weapons lagging.
It almost felt wrong to fight each other, and neither seemed to know why.
Sylvain tried to talk to him, apologize for the way things turned out, for how they had to be, but he didn’t get the chance.
“Sylvain! Have you found the general yet? Ingrid’s wounds are starting to get worse, we need to hurry up before...”
There wasn’t time for such pleasantries.
So with the same hand that Claude had held before, he prepped the lance that would tragically have to end his life.
